In 1983, she won a twelve-year Illinois State Fiddle Championship fiddle contestIn 1985, when she was only fifteen, she participated in her first recording for the disc of her brother Viktor, Different Strokes. She recorded her first record under her own name in 1987, Too Late To Cry. She became known in Europe for her participation in the Buffy vs.
